Bonus 500 euros, from tomorrow (1 October 2020) it is finally possible to request the contribution (one-off) for newsstands in difficulty

The Relaunch Decree introduces the so-called newsstand bonus. This is a one-off bonus of 500 euros for all the owners of newsstands.

It is possible to send the request to access the 500 euro bonus for newsstands as early as tomorrow, 1st October 2020. But be careful, a much lower amount of money could be credited. Let’s see what it is.

Bonus 500 euros newsstands

The one-off newsstand bonus, as already mentioned at the beginning, is a bonus worth 500 euros in favor of the owners of newsstands, as economic support for the extraordinary expenses incurred for carrying out the activity during the health emergency of the Coronavirus.

Pursuant toArticle 189 of the relaunch decree:

“Natural persons operating exclusive points of sale for the resale of newspapers and magazines, who do not have income from employment or pension, are granted a one-off contribution up to 500 euro, within the limit of 7 million euros for the year 2020, which constitutes spending ceiling “.

In other words, if the total of the contributions requested is greater than the available resources (7 million euros), a proportional distribution is carried out among all the subjects entitled to it.

Who can access the benefit

The requirements to access this bonus are basically 2:

the exercise of the exclusive resale of newspapers and magazines (ATECO 47.62.10) must be carried out by an individual in the form of a sole proprietorship, or by a natural person as a partner in a partnership;
the subject must not also be the holder of income from employment or pension income.

Applicants can submit a specific application to Department for Information and Publishing between 1 and 30 October 2020.

Applications can be submitted by the owner or legal representative of the company exclusively electronically, through the procedure available in the reserved area of the portal impresainungiorno.gov.it, accessible, upon authentication via SPID or CNS, by clicking on the link “Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Information and Publishing”, “One-off newsagents bonus” in the “Online Services” menu.

In any case, the contribution is credited directly to the beneficiary’s current account and does not contribute to the formation of income.
