Central defender Juventus Leonardo Bonucci already guessed Matthijs de Ligt will leave. De Ligt’s departure left a bit of a bitter taste for Bonucci.
De Ligt ended his career at Juventus after only a year remaining by joining Bayern Munich this summer. During his black-and-white costume, the Dutch international defender made 117 appearances and won one Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup.
De Ligt’s performance with Juventus is arguably not very prominent. Given the high expectations addressed to the 22-year-old footballer because of his ransom from Ajax of 75 million euros.

Bonucci himself did not specify which comments Matthijs de Ligt made him inflamed. However, Football International believes Bonucci was upset by De Ligt’s comments indicating Juve did not allow him to develop.
“I’m always looking for what’s best for myself in terms of sporting plans. Finishing fourth in a row isn’t good enough, we have to make a step forward in that direction.” De Ligt last June.
Bonucci revealed he had discussed the matter with De Ligt directly. The former AC Milan player also warned his former team-mate not to get carried away at Bayern Munich.

“But I think, at the end of the day you have to respect. This team has been with him for three years and helped him develop, and the club has invested in him,” gushed the winner of the European Cup winners’ medal.
“I wish him the best, but certain comments he made while on international duty were not good. We talked about it after the holidays, and he understands.”
“Bayern are a great team, but just being at a top club doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to win.” Bonucci added about Matthijs de Ligt.
