Even if they improved their time in the series in the A final of the 400m Medley, Nathan Bontempi, (4’29”78 against 4’31”72), and Tristan Claquin (4’29”87 against 4 ‘ 32”40), both from SN Metz, on Tuesday kept almost the same ranking in the final (sixth instead of fifth and seventh) at the French junior championships in Massy. Also in the Paris region, after two third places in the B final over 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly at the end of last week, their teammate Emmy Preiter, in 56”84, finished second in the B final of the 100m freestyle.
At the French youth championships in Rennes, after eighth places, Monday, in the A final of Louisa Mattel (SC Thionville) on 100m butterfly and Guillaume Andouy (USB Longwy) on 100m backstroke, the 14-year-old swimmer from the USBL, seventh in the morning series in the 200m freestyle in 2’04”58, finished on Tuesday evening in sixth place in the A final in 2’04”51.
