The French actress Léa Seydoux (“Specter”) was critical of the social climate and the calling-out culture. “We mustn’t make any more mistakes,” complained the 34-year-old in an interview with the US magazine “Harper’s Bazaar”. Seydoux said she did not want to adapt her behavior to other people’s expectations: “I hate the politically correct.”

“And I hate morality, the conviction. The world has become so impeccable that it scares me, ”said Seydoux. In the upcoming James Bond film “No Time to Die” (theatrical release: November 12th), she again plays psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Daniel. Madeleine Swann, who had a liaison with the secret agent in the previous film “Specter” (2015). She is the first leading actress to play the same role twice in a 007 adventure. “My character is not a cliché,” emphasized Seydoux, adding, looking at her female co-stars in the film: “We are not here to satisfy Bond’s sexuality.”

However, the actress let it be known that the new 007 adventure would still not lack in sex appeal. “We forget that James Bond is also a sex object. It is an absolute sex object, ”said Seydoux. “I think women like to watch Bond, right? His body?” At least for her, that’s true: “I like to see sexy men in swimming trunks.”

“No time to die” should actually be released in April. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the premiere of the 25th James Bond film was postponed worldwide by seven months. Leading actor Craig has announced that it will be his last assignment as the famous secret agent.
