New York has been one of the cities hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic. That is why Bon Jovi has paid tribute to the Big Apple in the video clip for Do What You Can, a video loaded with hope and in which the artist sets an example by wearing a mask.
The clip opens with news about the city announcing that it has reached the “critical part” of the COVID-19 crisis. “New Yorkers have a reputation for being tough, for being resilient. New York will get over this. We’ll get over this,” you hear. The musician walks through the practically empty city, showing closed premises, workers in the streets and posters urging to maintain social distance. The video ends with an emotional message. “Dedicated to everyday heroes fighting to overcome this pandemic”, you can read. The clip was posted on YouTube on August 25 and already has more than 330,000 views.

Do What You Can is part of his next album, titled 2020, which will be released on October 2. The album also includes the song American Reckoning in homage to George Floyd.
