Bombs in New York and New Jersey

On September 17, attacks in the United States rekindled fear of jihadist terrorism, 15 years after September 11. A bomb explosion in an upscale neighborhood in the heart of Manhattan, Chelsea, leaves 29 injured while in New Jersey a homemade bomb explodes in the city of Seaside Park without causing any casualties. Since then, a series of explosive devices have been found and the police arrest and charge a suspect, Ahmad Khan Rahami, an American of Afghan origin. Investigators have not found a link with the simultaneous stabbing attack where 9 people were injured in a shopping mall in St. Cloud (Minnesota) claimed by the Islamic State group.
