(Reuters) – Dozens of people were killed and injured in the southeastern city of Zaporozhye after Russian artillery shelling struck the southeastern city of Zaporozhye on Wednesday, the Ukrainian military said Thursday.
“Russian forces attacked civilian homes and infrastructure at night,” the army central command said in a Facebook post.
Earlier, Zaporozhye city officials said at least 17 people were killed when the missiles hit apartments and high-rise buildings.

The city of Zaporozhye is located approximately 125 kilometers from the largest European nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye, which is under the control of the Russian army.
