Bombed Afghans demand logs from Dutch F16s in Uruzgan | Inland

The four do this in a lawsuit that they have filed against Defense, in which they hold the Dutch state liable for a bombing of their homes, in which dozens were killed. The Afghans hope to be able to prove with the logs that they have been bombarded by the Dutch.

“I especially want it to be clear what exactly happened that night”, says lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld, who assists the Afghans. “Why have my clients’ houses been bombed?”

The Ministry of Defense does not yet say whether it will allow access to the logs. According to the ministry, this will be ‘the subject of discussion’ when the case first comes to court in The Hague on March 29.
