Bomb found on truck in Northern Ireland Abroad

The explosive attached to the truck was found on Monday in the northern Irish city of Lurgan. The police think the vehicle should have gone by ferry to Great Britain, where the bomb would explode. What the explosive is, was not disclosed.

On January 31, the Northern Irish police received a report about a bomb in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. This would also be attached to a truck. The bomb was never found.

Independence

Northern Irish republicans see nothing in the UK and want an independent Irish island. The Irish Republican Army (IRA) also pursued this for years. The movement did not shun violence and committed several attacks during their struggle for independence.
