It is clarified that the explosion took place in the Aunmyetazan settlement. The publication writes that an unknown person blew up a bench in the living room of a checkpoint for checking citizens for COVID-19, after which two more explosions sounded.

As a result of the explosion, two civilians and two security officials were injured. Among the dead is a security officer. The identity of the second victim has not yet been established.

All the victims were taken to a military hospital.

Currently, the police continue to investigate the details and search for suspects.

In Myanmar, protests continue after the military coup, during which state power was transferred into the hands of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, General Hlein.
