Bologna wants the striker, but Benfica does not intend to let him leave now; future discussed this week
The future of Petar Musa will be discussed this week in Lisbon. Bologna, since the summer, has been interested in signing the Croatian, wanting to negotiate with Benfica to loan the 25-year-old striker, with an option to buy, but the Reds intend to keep him until the end of the month.
Roger Schmidt, in fact, recalled that he only has two strikers available, Arthur Cabral and Musa, pointing out that Marcos Leonardo needs several training sessions to regain the competitive rhythm lost in four weeks of rest and that Casper Tengstedt is injured.
The game in Arouca reinforced the idea that Musa is indispensable at least until Marcos Leonardo is fit to play and Tengstedt recovers from his muscle injury.
The Croatian striker came on in the 72nd minute to replace Arthur Cabral and scored the team’s third goal in the 85th minute. This season, the Croatian international has scored six goals in 22 games, eight of which as a starter.
