ROME (ITALPRESS) – Bologna beat Roma 2-0 at the Dall’Ara and takes fourth place in Serie A alone, with 28 points. The rossoblù team finds their fifth consecutive home victory, as has not happened since the 2018-19 season, thanks to Moro’s goal and Kristensen’s own goal. In the era of three points for a win, it had never happened that Bologna reached 28th in the Serie A standings after the first 16 rounds. Ambitions scaled down, on the other hand, for the Giallorossi, orphans of Dybala and Lukaku, who were overtaken by Fiorentina and Napoli (next opponents at the Olimpico) and slipped to seventh place.
The Giallorossi attack is entrusted to Belotti and El Shaarawy (his 250th Roma shirt today), while Thiago Motta does not give up Zirkzee. Those on the pitch are two of the six teams in this championship who have conceded fewer shots on goal to their opponents. Failure for Renato Sanches, who came on at half-time and was recalled to the bench after nineteen minutes to make way for Bove, while Llorente came off for Azmoun. The Giallorossi’s hopes of a comeback were extinguished by Ravaglia who blocked Belotti’s way in the 80th minute. The last chance belongs to Ndoye who, one-on-one with Rui Patricio, wastes the ball to make it 3-0. The substance does not change: Thiago Motta wins the direct clash for the Champions League zone and gets Mourinho into trouble. Controversy expected for the “missing” second yellow card against Beukema, who was later replaced. Sinisa Mihajlovic remembered in the pre-match, one year after his passing.
