He then went on to recall the role of the University of Bologna and the fact “that it stood out in the world since the eleventh century and its pulsating arteries were the arcades”. The lectio continued on the many themes at the center of the professor’s works and reflections: health and illness, especially in the light of recent events, the increase in average life, longevity which is an achievement but cannot become an emergency or a clash between generations.
