Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor (67) died of cancer NOW

Rishi Kapoor died on Wednesday at the age of 67 from the effects of cancer. The actor, who starred in a large number of Bollywood films, suffered from leukemia since 2018.

His family has according to BBC let us know that Kapoor was hospitalized on Wednesday because of breathing problems. “Medical staff say Rishi kept them entertained to the last minute,” his family writes.

“He was determined to get the most out of his life and was always happy. His fans will understand that he wants to be remembered with a smile, not tears.”

Kapoor broke through in 1973 with a leading role in the romantic film Bobby. He continued to play in similar films for more than twenty years. After that time he was mainly seen in drama films.

Actor part of Bollywood family

The actor was part of the Kapoor family, an Indian showbiz family whose many members were active before or behind the scenes in Bollywood films.

In 1980 Kapoor married colleague Neetu Singh and together they had a son, Ranbir. He is also a well-known Bollywood star.

Kapoor died the same day as actor Irrfan Khan, also a well-known name in the Bollywood world. The two were seen together in the movie D-Day from 2013.
