A person sent to hospital for check-up after inhaling smoke.

All residents were evacuated when a fire broke out in an apartment in a row of care homes in Moss on Friday morning.

“The fire is under control. Has burned in 2 apartments. Extinguishing is in progress. 1 person has been taken to hospital for a check-up. Appears undamaged », the police report just before 08.30.

Task leader Aina Eker tells Moss Avis that it started burning in one apartment, and that it has spread to another apartment.

– All residents were evacuated. One was sent to Kalnes for a check of smoke damage, she says Moss Avis On-site.

– There is an apartment in a row with several apartments burning. Still no control over the fire, and there is a danger of it spreading, the Eastern police district reported just over 07 o’clock on Friday.

Around 08 o’clock, the police reported to Moss Avis that the fire service had control of the fire.

There was a person at work who reported the fire.

The police reported the fire in Fjellom in Moss at 06.30. Then the emergency services were on their way.

– Several units from the fire service are on their way, the 110 switchboard announced.

A few minutes later, the emergency services arrived on the scene and announced that there was a full fire in the building that houses care apartments. According to employees, all residents must be out.

Pictures from Moss Avis showed strong smoke development on the site and several vehicles from the emergency services in place near the burning homes.
