After Thursday’s defeat in Yerevan in the Conference League by Armenian Noah, there was a lot of discussion in Mladá Boleslav. It was predictable what the response would be against Banik. “We said something to each other, we had to sit down. A different team came in,” goalkeeper Boleslav Matouš Trmal was happy.

He was very critical of the entire team in Armenia. “We had to say a few things to each other. I think it gave us an advantage. Some were looking for (in Trmal’s words – author’s note) sensations, which was strange. I’m glad we learned the lesson. The coach prepared us well psychologically. He put it in our heads that we must not throw away our work,” said Trmal.

“We were physically and mentally exhausted. We have to get used to being in a sled. We had good and bad sections in Armenia, we didn’t handle some things the way we wanted. It was much better now,” said Brännström.

Trmal held Boleslav with a reliable performance, he made the best save in the 57th minute when he intercepted an Ewerton attack. “I tried to spread out as much as possible, I succeeded,” praised the Středočechy goalkeeper.
