BOLA – The Federation writes to Argentina: “They have exaggerated” (France)

The president of the French Football Federation, Noël Le Graet, said he had addressed a letter to his Argentine counterpart, Claudio Tapia, due to the “unsportsmanlike behavior” of Alvicelestes players after winning the 2022 World Cup final.

“I wrote a letter to the president of the Argentine federation because of the unsportsmanlike behavior of the players. They were anomalous excesses in the context of a sporting competition. It was difficult behavior to understand and accept. They have gone too far. Especially with Mbappé,” revealed Noël Le Graet, in statements to the Ouest-France newspaper.

The director also highlighted the “exemplary” behavior of the French players in the face of provocations and abusive gestures during the celebrations of the Argentines, on penalties (4-2), after the 3-3 draw at the end of extra time.
