SC Braga received and beat Moreirense (2-1), in a match for the 33rd round of the League. It was the return to the triumphs of Braga after four consecutive games without the three points (two defeats and two draws).
Abel Ruiz (41 ‘) opened the scoring in the first half, with Rafael Martins (87’) restoring the tie three minutes after leaving the bench. It was then that in clearing time, VAR unveiled a hand on David Simão’s ball which resulted in a penalty converted by João Novais (90 + 5 ‘).
With this result, SC Braga is in fourth place with 63 points, seven from Benfica (minus a game). Moreirense, on the other hand, occupies the seventh position with 40 points, two from Vitória de Guimarães (minus a game), the first team in the qualifying zone for Europe.
