The Public Ministry (MP) is investigating the transfer of João Félix from Benfica to Atlético de Madrid, in July 2019, in the process Red card, in which Luís Filipe Vieira is the main defendant.
According to the CM, this Saturday, the suspicions are concentrated in the six million euros more that the Spanish club paid to Benfica, related to alleged costs of financing the operation; the €12 million commission paid by Benfica to Jorge Mendes and Manuel Moreira de Sá, the athlete’s manager, for intermediation services; and in a possible tax fraud by Félix himself.
