The most recent study by CIES – Observatório do Futebol analyzes the bet on training (players between 15 and 21 years old who have spent at least three seasons in clubs) in 27 European leagues and there is a conclusion that stands out: Portuguese league is the one in which the clubs less minutes give athletes from their academies: only 4.7 percent. At the other extreme comes Slovenia, with 26.8 percent.

In terms of European clubs, Zilina, from Slovakia, is betting most on the players in terms of percentage of minutes, with Celta de Vigo being the first of the big five to appear in the list, in 7th.

Sporting, which is 67th in the absolute ranking, is highlighted in the leadership in Portugal (26.3 percent), followed by FC Porto (12.6 percent) and Belenenses SAD (8.6 percent) . Benfica appears only in the fifth position (6.8 percent).
