BOLA – Portugal drops in FIFA ranking (FIFA)

Portugal dropped three places in the latest FIFA rankings update, published this Thursday, and now ranks eighth. The leader remains Belgium, despite elimination in the quarter-finals of Euro-2020.

Italy, the new European champion, jumps into the top-5, right behind England, in 4th place, without any changes. Argentina and Brazil, winner and finalist of the Copa America, also go up to sixth and second, respectively.

There have been 348 games since the last update, on May 27, with Euro-2020, Copa America, Gold Cup and World Cup qualifiers-2022.

The top-10 also included Mexico and the USA, finalists in the Gold Cup, leaving Denmark and Uruguay.

Qatar, which will organize the World Cup and was invited to the Gold Cup, climbed 16 positions to 42nd place, the biggest rise of the month.
