Boil Water Advisory Issued for West Brabant due to Bacteria Leak

In a number of places in West Brabant, people should boil the tap water before drinking it. Brabant Water gives this advice. A leak in a main water pipe at Nieuw-Vossemeer may have released small amounts of bacteria into the water. The advice is to boil the water for three minutes. The preventive cooking advice applies to Nieuw-Vossemeer, Steenbergen and the Zeeland villages of Sint Philipsland and Anna Jacobapolder.

Residents of those places should boil their drinking water for three minutes before using it for coffee, tea, lemonade, bottle feeding, brushing teeth or preparing a meal, Brabant Water reports.
