Even so, according to him, the fight with Teplice, who played fairly, was manageable. But the first conceded goal just before the break made a significant dent in the plan for the kangaroos, just like in Bodö. “It’s not right that we conceded another goal at the end of the half. It was headed for a draw and we stupidly concede from the break after our attacking standard,” the head of the green and white bench regretted. “And we will offer the opponent the second goal with a stupid loss,” he then alluded to the fact that shortly before Teplice’s second goal, the experienced Teplice lost the ball not far from its own penalty area Jan Kovařík.
But Veselý also found other reasons for the failure and perhaps hinted at what he and his charges will work on in the coming days. “We have problems scoring a goal from play, that’s where I see the main problem. We lack a certain aggressiveness and stubbornness in the final phase that we had in the past,” he said.
In any case, Bohemians hope that two losses in a short period of time will strengthen the team in the long term. “You need to get out of it, regenerate and prepare for a challenging week. I don’t think the players would have missed it, it just wasn’t enough today. A stupid team wouldn’t learn from the mistakes we made. A strong team, on the other hand, will come out of it even stronger,” Veselý concluded.
