Bohemian Rhapsody is played simultaneously by 22 carillonneurs: “I play the long classic in full”

In West Flanders you can hear the indestructible classic at 1.30 pm in Bruges, Nieuwpoort and Ypres. The city carillonneur of Ypres, Ludo Geloen, made the arrangements himself. “It’s not a simple song to play on a carillon. We will need all the clocks, I think, ”he says with a smile. “I’ve already practiced a bit and it’s not that bad. Above all, you shouldn’t make it too complicated. With pop songs I often start from the arrangement for piano ”, says Geloen. “On a carillon you have to make sure that the melody comes out well. The small bells should not be drowned out by the bass bells.”
