After reporting the shortage of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, used in immunization against covid-19, the Bogota Health Secretariat reported that the government delivered 21,002 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 from the pharmaceutical houses Sinovac, Pfizer and Janssen to continue vaccinating the inhabitants of the capital. However, so far there is no news about Moderna’s vaccines.
The doses received are distributed as follows: 11,000 doses of the Janssen vaccine, to be administered among the population over 18 years of age, either for the application of a single dose, a second dose (when the regimen with other laboratories) and for first boost.

In addition, 5,000 doses of Sinovac were received, directed for the first and second doses to the population over three years of age and the first booster for over 12 years of age; 5,002 doses of Pfizer with an emphasis on the pregnant population (from the 12th week of pregnancy) and for the application of boosters in the population between 12 and 17 years of age.
These doses are available at the main vaccination points, as they were distributed since last Friday afternoon and throughout Saturday. Although Bogotá has made progress of 98.9% in the application of complete schemes in the population aged 12 and over (with a cut-off of February 14), the call to citizens is reiterated to access vaccination and continue applying the self-care measures against coronavirus.

Two years ago the first vaccine against covid-19 was applied in Bogotá
On Saturday, February 18, the secretary of health, Alejandro Gómez, recalled that two years earlier, the first dose of anticovid vaccines was administered in the capital. A nurse and two doctors from Kennedy Hospital were the first 3 professionals to receive it; That same day, in 9 more clinics and hospitals, 7,054 vaccines were applied to the personnel who faced the virus on the front line.
