Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Islamic Brotherhood Front continued to hold FPI’s 1st Zikir Akbar and Milad in the courtyard of the Puncak At-Ta’awun Mosque, even though they did not get permission from the District COVID-19 Task Force Bogor. Bogor Regent Ade Yasin claimed that his party had negotiated with the organizers.
“Because it’s really crowded, it’s already crowded, it’s already installed. There are already a lot of people, if we force them to disperse, it’s not conducive. Yes, we finally negotiated with them yesterday,” said Ade Yasin, Monday (3/1/2021).
Ade admitted that at that time it was not possible to disperse the congregation who were already present. Therefore, the Head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Task Force finally asked the event committee to limit the time to 22.00 WIB.
“Because the place is not too wide because of the parking lot. The place is not too wide. We ask them to implement strict health protocols,” said Ade.
“And we asked for the event to finish early, so it should usually be until 02.00 WIB in the morning, right, but we asked for a limit until 22.00 only, so after remembrance we just lectured,” he added.
Ade said the decision was a mutual agreement. He mentioned that the TNI-Polri personnel who were on guard on the night of the event also ensured that the congregation implemented health protocols.
“Yes, we are monitoring everything. The TNI, the police are also taking part in securing them so they don’t violate health protocols, I think this win-win solution Yes, so that conditions are also conducive. So there aren’t too many, because that’s the place,” explained Ade.
Furthermore, Ade said that no sanctions were imposed regarding the event. This is because his party has negotiated with the organizers to continue implementing health protocols during the event.
“Yes, because we have negotiated with them so that we take care of each other. So that there will be no spike in people and also strict health protocols,” said Ade.
“Because the conditions are already crowded, but it is helped by the extraordinary traffic jams, so there are not many,” he added.
A member of the Islamic Brotherhood Front legal team, Aziz Yanuar, claimed that the FPI’s first remembrance and Milad event was attended by thousands of people.
“Maybe thousands, thank God,” Aziz told CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (3/1).
Aziz said the event went smoothly. He said several figures of the Islamic Brotherhood Front also attended the event.
Among them, the Head of the Islamic Brotherhood Front Qurthubi Jaelani, the Deputy Head of the Islamic Brotherhood Front, Syahid Joban, the Head of the DPD FPI Jabar Zaky Al Aydrus to the Head of the Markaz Syariah Foundation, Habib Muhammad Ali Athos.
Regarding the news that the Bogor Regency Covid-19 Task Force refused to apply for a permit for the event, Aziz admitted that he did not understand.
