Bogor Regent Ade Yasin | wearing an orange vest typical of prisoners of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) after being caught in a sting operation on Wednesday (27/4).
Monitoring CNNIndonesia.com, Ade Yasin came down from the KPK examination room at around 01.56 WIB. He was seen wearing an orange vest and being led by KPK investigators to the press conference room.
Apart from wearing a vest, Ade was also handcuffed by KPK investigators.
At that moment, there were seven other suspects who were also ensnared by the KPK in this case. They appear to be wearing prison clothes.
The KPK has arrested 12 people from elements of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab); as well as auditors from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Representative of West Java in this case.
Of the 12 people who were arrested by the KPK in the arrest operation (OTT), eight of them were named suspects, including Ade Yasin.
“AY as the Regent of Bogor for the 2018-2023 period wants the Bogor Regency Government to get an unqualified predicate for FY 2021 from the West Java Representative Office,” said KPK Chair Firli Bahuri at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Thursday (28/4) early morning.
Firli mentioned eight people who had been named as suspects in this case. Four of the suspects are bribers, namely Ade Yasin, Regent of Bogor Regency 2018-2023; Maulana Adam, Secretary of the Bogor Regency PUPR Service; Ihsan Ayatullah, Head of Sub-Division of the Regional Treasury for BPKAD, Bogor Regency; and Rizki Taufik, PPK at the Bogor Regency PUPR Service.
Meanwhile, four other suspects as recipients of bribes are Anthon Merdiyansah, an employee of the West Java BPK Representative (Head of Sub Auditorate of West Java III/Technical Controller); Arko Mulawan, West Java Representative BPK Employee (Chairman of the Bogor Regency Interim Audit Team); Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Karwita, West Java Representative BPK Employee (Investigator); and Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah, BPK Representative for West Java (Examiner).
The arrest is related to the alleged bribery case related to the management of the Bogor Regency Government’s financial reports.
In the OTT which was held on 26-27 April 2022 in West Java, the KPK confiscated evidence in the form of a total of IDR 1.024 billion consisting of IDR 570 million in cash and bank account money in the amount of IDR 454 million.
