The Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force, West Java, rejected a permit application from the ‘Puncak Berzikr X’ committee as well as the birthday of the Islamic Brotherhood Front (REIT) at Atta’Taawun Mosque, Cisarua, Sunday (2/1).
“The refusal is a joint effort in the context of preventing and overcoming COVID-19 in Bogor Regency,” said the Daily Chair of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Burhanudin quoting Between.
Burhan advised the organizing committee to postpone activities that have the potential to cause crowds after the implementation of the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 66 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 on Christmas and New Year’s 2022 ends.
According to him, the Minister of Home Affairs, which was forwarded through the Regent’s Circular, stipulates that during the period from December 24, 2021 to January 2, 2022, the community is obliged to reduce activities outside the home, except for implementing 5M.
Chairman of the Atta’Awun Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM), KH Ahmad Kosasih rejected the application for a permit for Puncak Berzikir X activities and asked the committee to postpone its implementation.
“DKM Atta’awun Mosque asked the committee to postpone the Peak Berzikir X activity until the PPKM was completed according to the copy of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 that we received,” he said.
The Organizing Committee for the Peak of Zikr X sent a letter of application for a permit to the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force on December 3, 2021.
In its letter numbered 03.0002/PB/SP/XII/2021 the committee informed the COVID-19 Handling Task Force that they would carry out the X Remembrance Peak on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
The chairman of the PA 212 National Tanfidzi Council (DTN), Slamet Maarif, previously said that Muslims in Bogor would hold a grand remembrance at the At-Ta’awun Puncak Mosque in the evening. Slamet Maarif said the event was an annual agenda as well as the anniversary of the Islamic Brotherhood Front (FPI).

Slamet said the event was open to the public. He said that usually the people who attended reached tens of thousands of people.
“Usually tens of thousands of people attend. It’s a general invitation, so anyone can attend,” he said.
