Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Bismo Teguh Prakoso told me that he was included in every WhatsApp group in all RWs in his area. Bismo said that in the group he would give advice regarding the order and security situation and respond to residents.
This was disclosed by Bismo in the event Friday Chat detikPagi which airs on detikcom, Friday (1/9/2023). Bismo initially responded to residents’ complaints about the large number of motorists driving their vehicles at high speed on village streets.
“Then for the village roads we will intensify later Friday Chat in the villages, then we remind them that we will later spread memes on social media,” said Bismo.
Bismo revealed that he was included in all WA RW groups in Bogor. In that group he will give an appeal about kamtibmas.
“I’m in all RW groups and we’ll write there that the call is to maintain security and order, be careful, especially for children in the village, how to respect other people and also maintain people’s safety,” he said.
Furthermore, Bismo explained that unit heads in the ranks of the Bogor Police must be responsive. He said residents needed a quick response from the Police.
“In plain view I have to be responsive, because people are complaining, people need solutions, yes I have to be able to deal with these dynamics,” he said.
Apart from that, Bismo said that the Bogor Police is also carrying out a national agenda related to planting trees. He said some time ago the Bogor Police had planted 3,000 trees to deal with air pollution.
“We have planted 3,000 trees and in this dry season agenda, this is our national agenda to plant 3,000 trees. Yesterday we invited the community to be very enthusiastic and we also invited school children. They are very enthusiastic, we embrace how they show their enthusiasm with us,” he explained.
Bogor Police, continued Bismo, also provided water and rice assistance to residents in need. He said the police must be present for the community.
“There is also water and rice social assistance. So yesterday we donated 1 ton of rice to residents in need in the Bogor City area. So there is no term in Bogor City that is not touched by the state, so there is no term that is hungry, there is no term the state is not present, there is none, so we must be present, the state must be present, the National Police must be present with relevant agencies,” he said.
