The Bogor City Government (Pemkot), West Java, is intensifying the Eradication of Mosquito Nests (PSN) in all sub-districts in line with the increasing cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in the city.
Based on data from the Bogor City Health Service (Dinkes), in January 2024 there were 389 cases of dengue fever with one death. Meanwhile, in February there were 456 cases of dengue fever with three deaths.
Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto, in Bogor, Sunday, also carried out PSN in Situpete Village, Sukacepat Village, Tanah Sareal District, where in this sub-district there were 14 cases of dengue fever recorded this year.

“We found mosquito larvae in the drinking water dispenser, then in the refrigerator behind which there was a reservoir for standing water,” said Bima Arya after carrying out PSN at a resident’s house.
In several houses he inspected, Bima Arya received reports that there were initial incidents of positive dengue fever. Then cases increased in other homes with the average patient being under five years old or a toddler.
Therefore, he entrusted the heads of RT and RW, including cadres of larva monitors (jumantik) to continue carrying out PSN and appealed to community health centers to carry out diagnoses quickly.

Head of the Bogor City Health Office, Sri Nowo Retno, said that in the first two months of 2024, the total number of dengue fever cases in Bogor City was 845 with four deaths. Compared to 2023, there will be 1,474 cases of dengue fever with nine deaths.
“That’s why we have to move quickly, we carry out simultaneous movements every week and we will evaluate. mutual cooperation movement, clean3M (drain, cover, bury) plus,” he said.
Efforts that the community can take include PSN at least once a week and 3M Plus. Carry out the one house one jumantik movement, and immediately come to the community health center if any family member has symptoms of dengue fever.
