Boeing will restrict production of Dreamliners in order to improve them

Production of Dreamliner aircraft will be temporarily limited, but will return to the previous level after revision.

Boeing has identified the need to rework its 787 Dreamliner aircraft that are awaiting delivery to customers – this will take some time. This was stated in the quarterly report of the company on Tuesday, July 13.

Boeing 787 production will be less than five units per month for some time and will gradually return to the monthly level of five units.

It is noted that in April-June 2021, the company delivered 79 commercial aircraft to customers, and 156 since the beginning of the year.

At the same time, in the second quarter, deliveries of 737 aircraft in April-June amounted to 50 units, and since the beginning of the year – 113.

“In the second quarter, we made progress in bringing the 737 MAX back into service in new international markets, as well as increasing the rate of delivery of the 737,” the press release said.

It was previously reported that Boeing’s aircraft sales are growing… Boeing’s total orders for the first quarter were 282 aircraft and net orders were 76 aircraft.

Boeing also warned about a possible problem in 737 MAX aircraft… The manufacturer recommended 16 customers not to use the aircraft before checking the aircraft’s electronic systems.
