Boeing 737 MAX not launched before October

According to an FAA official, the aviation authority will soon come up with new guidelines for the plagued planes, which have been grounded since March 2019 after two fatal accidents. Last month, the FAA performed several test flights with the 737 MAX to verify adjustments in the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS).

Boeing was not immediately available for a response, according to Reuters, but said earlier that it expects to deliver 737 MAX aircraft before the end of September if regulators agree.

The issue has already cost the US aircraft manufacturer more than $ 18 billion and forced the company to cut production and workforce, including because of the corona pandemic.

Boeing has already started production of the 737 MAX. The aircraft are being produced “at a slow pace” at the 737 MAX factory in Renton near Seattle. As the year progresses, the aircraft manufacturer will increase the production of the aircraft. The goal is to have at least 31 737 MAX devices rolled off the line every month by 2021.
