the essentials Co-leaders of the pool, Boétiens and Casseneuillois will aim for a third success in a row.
Boé-Bon-Encontre – Talence
Is the elimination of the Boétiens in the Coupe de France last weekend in Saint-Jean-de-Luz (2 to 1) a blessing in disguise? It certainly puts an end to the hope of achieving a new epic like last season, but it also allows them to concentrate fully on the championship (they will however compete against solid teams in the Coupe de Nouvelle-Aquitaine) . But we know that this is their main objective. And for the moment their trajectory is perfect: Alexis Jourdan’s men won their first two matches (1-0 at Stade Bordelais 2 and 2-0 in Mons). They will be faced with a Gironde team presented as one of the top players in the group but which stumbled against the Casseneuillois (1 to 3).
Casseneuil – Saint-Bruno
Eliminated from the Coupe de France and the regional event (they were beaten 2 to 1 by Périgord Center FC), the Casseneuillois of the Essomba-Mokili-Yenga duo can now concentrate on the championship. After two days marked by two successes (2-1 against Stade Montois 2 and 3-1 at Talence), they are leaders. An unexpected situation for a promoted person whose objective is retention. Faced with a Bordeaux team which has a draw and a defeat, Pierre Tournon’s teammates will start as favorites. The returns to the group of defender Issouf Ouattara and the indispensable Mathieu Deroux should provide a plus. And make a team look great and will certainly be excited in front of their home crowd at the prospect of retaining their leading position.
