The lifeless body of a young man, swollen face and hands tied, was discovered Monday morning at the entrance to a campsite in the Arcachon basin, in La Teste-de-Buch, AFP learned from the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office which opened an investigation for murder.
“An autopsy (…) should take place as soon as possible given the criminal evidence of this case”, told AFP the prosecution, confirming information from the newspaper South West.
The services of the judicial police were seized of the investigations of the count of “intentional homicide”.
The victim has been identified
The victim’s lifeless body was discovered around 9:00 am Monday by employees of the Domaine de la Forge, near this campsite located in the town of La Teste-de-Buch. The man had his hands tied with duct tape on the front of his body and his face bore “multiple wounds”, giving credence to the criminal trail, according to the prosecution. This case could be linked to a dispute over drug trafficking, according to information from France Blue.
The victim, born in 1999, was quickly recognized by the Arcachon police officers, “despite the swelling on his face,” added the prosecution without further details.
