The authorities of Pinellas County, Florida, had a strong mobilization after the body of a person was found inside the mouth of a huge alligator.
The 13-foot (4-meter) animal was swimming in a lake near 134th Avenue North and 121st Street in Pinellas County, Fox 13 News reported.
According to the police report, the agents responded to an emergency call around 1:50 pm this Saturday, which reported the sighting of a body in the lake, and it was upon arrival that they found the terrible scene.
The Pinellas Sheriff’s Office noted that the huge reptile had the body in its jaws, and that there was a large pool of blood on the road next to the lake.
The circumstances of the macabre discovery suggest that the animal suddenly came out of the water to hunt a person who was walking along the shore of the lake, either exercising or taking a walk.
Officers were seen surrounding the animal to gain access to the human remains. The coroner’s office will now perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of the victim’s death.
The people who were in the area were shocked by what happened, as they stated that they would never have imagined that alligators existed in the lake.

In April of this year, Florida authorities found the body of a two-year-old child in the jaws of an alligator, in the same county.
According to the authorities’ report, the minor, identified as Taylen Mosley, was missing and his search began after the police found his mother, Pashun Jeffery, murdered in an apartment in St. Petersburg, in Pinellas.
At that time, CNN indicated that the minor’s father, Thomas Mosley, 21, was the main suspect in the events, and he was also charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway indicated that authorities began searching for the minor after finding the mother’s body and confirming that she was not at home.
Using diving equipment and drones, police checked a lake near the apartment complex where the crime occurred, and discovered that there was an alligator and the body of a child. The officers euthanized the animal with their firearms, recovering the body and confirming that it was Taylen Mosley.
