Body found at location of major fire in Arnhem | Interior

Emergency services in Arnhem found a body on Tuesday evening at the location where a large fire has raged for a long time. Police are still trying to identify the deceased person.

The fire broke out on Tuesday around 5.45 am in De Wiltstraat in the Sint Marten district. The fire brigade had it under control after more than six hours.

Seven homes are now uninhabitable. Two of those buildings were completely destroyed, according to the fire service. The five other houses sustained very heavy damage.

What caused and where the fire broke out has yet to be determined by an investigation by the fire service and police. Investigation into the cause of the fire is only possible after extinguishing.
