The security source, who requested to remain anonymous, said that the security forces found the bodies of the two people, bearing traces of gunfire, after an armed attack they were subjected to while camping in the area.
The source added that the security forces transferred the two bodies to Baghdad, after completing the investigation process, to hand them over to the Kuwaiti side.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said that the relevant authorities in Iraq found, on Tuesday, two bodies belonging to a Kuwaiti citizen and another with Saudi citizenship residing in the State of Kuwait, who had disappeared in Anbar Governorate recently, according to what was reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). .
He stressed that coordination is underway with the Iraqi government to find out the circumstances of the incident and the results of the ongoing investigations.
