The Libyan authorities sent the bodies of 145 Egyptians who died in the hurricane and floods that the country was exposed to during the past days.

Libyan sources said that the bodies of the Egyptians arrived at the Tobruk morgue, and the procedures for returning them to Egypt were completed.

The Libyan authorities asked all foreigners to report missing persons in order to search for them or their bodies. They also called on residents and residents of the valleys in Tobruk to evacuate and prevent travel on the public road in order to preserve their lives and stay away from the seashore.

An Egyptian military delegation headed by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff, arrived in Libya hours ago, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The visit comes out of Egypt’s support and solidarity towards the Libyan people in all tribulations and crises, as coordination will be made on ways to provide all aspects of logistical support and urgent humanitarian relief in cooperation with the competent Libyan agencies and institutions according to their needs to confront the repercussions resulting from the hurricane.

Egypt decided to open an air bridge to transport logistical support, starting with sending 3 military planes carrying medical and food supplies and 25 rescue crews equipped with all the necessary technical equipment, in addition to another plane to carry out the medical evacuation of fighters and the injured.

Al-Sisi directed the armed forces to provide all forms of humanitarian support, including relief kits, rescue equipment, and shelter camps for those affected, in cooperation and coordination with Libyan agencies and institutions.
