Boccia responds to Sangiuliano after the interview on Tg1: “Who made the gossip? Me, the minister, or the other one?”

It’s the day after the interview on Tg1 of the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiulianoended up in tears in front of the cameras. And after a short break from social media, lasting a few hours more than the previous days, she now writes a new post. And attacks the prime minister Georgia Meloni.

“During this affair, I initially maintained a press silence out of respect for the institutions. I chose to speak out only when the vase of lies was full, limiting myself to contesting the falsehoods to defend the truth – explains the 41-year-old from Pompeii – Today I am accused of being a blackmailer, but in reality I am not the one who created the blackmail. I am defending my dignity and my way of being a woman. I have been deceived, but I will not allow my story to be exploited by the cynicism, arrogance and whim of a tyrannical power – Boccia writes again – The press has defined me in many ways: influencer, companion, seamstress, ‘someone who wants to gain credibility’, braggart, the Anna Delvey of Italian politics, aspiring collaborator, consoler, caregiver, and ‘a cultural love’. But who really made the gossip: me, him, or ‘the other person’, exploiting a strategic moment for the country?”, asks Boccia.

Yesterday on TV the minister defended himself. He reconstructed the story, which began a few months ago and ended, according to him, in early August. But not entirely, it seems. Sangiuliano tried to clarify all the key points of the story. However, doubts remain. In front of the cameras of Tg1 he waved the transfers for the assistant-lover’s trips, assuring that “not even one euro from the State was spent” and that he had paid for everything with his credit card. Then the trips with the company cars, the confidential documents sent by email on the G7 in Naples. And the final tears of apology to his wife.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Europa Verde and MP for the Green and Left Alliance, Angel Bonelli, has filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office on the case at the Chamber of Deputies Police Station. Attached to the document are press articles, emails and screenshots of Maria Rosaria Boccia’s social media. The hypotheses, she explained, are “distraction for embezzlement and disclosure of official secrets”. “There is something wrong with the minister’s reconstruction.
