On the 19th, the 2023-2024 International Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup came to an end at the National Bobsleigh and Sled Center “Snow Dragon” in Yanqing. German players won all five gold medals in this event, and the Chinese team won 2 silver and 2 copper achieved a historical breakthrough.

Since not all tracks in the world can host four-man bobsleigh races, the World Cup Yanqing station held a men’s four-man bobsleigh World Cup race on the 18th and 19th respectively. In the first competition on the 18th, Germany’s Lochner Racing Team and Friedrich Racing Team won the championship and runner-up respectively. China’s Sun Kaizhi Racing Team ranked third and won China’s first World Cup medal for men’s four-man bobsleigh.

In the second men’s four-man bobsleigh race on the 19th, Team Lochner and Team Friedrich skated in the first round with times of 58.22 and 58.25 respectively, ranking the top two. In the second round of skating, Italy’s Baumgartner Racing Team skated in 58.57 seconds, with a total time of 1 minute, 56.92 seconds in the two rounds, overtaking Friedrich Racing Team by 0.01 seconds, and won the silver medal. Lochner Racing Team, which was the last to appear, performed steadily and finally won the championship with a time of 1 minute, 56.61 seconds, and Friedrich Racing Team won the bronze medal. China’s Sun Kaizhi Racing Team and Li Chunjian Racing Team ranked sixth and eighth respectively.

In the other three World Cup races at this site, German player Tina Hermann won the women’s bobsleigh championship, and Chinese player Zhao Dan won the silver medal with a difference of 0.02 seconds.
