Bobo 2023 International Fair: Meet from October 27 to November 5

The organizing committee of the Bobo International Fair (FIBO) faced the press on August 29, 2023. The speakers presented the main axes of FIBO 2023, the 9e edition, which will be held from October 27 to November 5, 2023, on the site of National Culture Week.

“Policy and local consumption of agro-sylvo-pastoral and fishery products, development factors for SMEs-SMIs in the ECOWAS region”. It is under this theme that the 9th edition of the Bobo International Fair (FIBO). For the president of the organizing committee, Dr. Alfred Sanou, FIBO is an event that aims to be the crucible of both competitiveness and sub-regional integration ” of our economy through the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises, players in the processing and conservation of agri-food products in the West African region ».

A very specific goal

The objective of FIBO is to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of agri-food products at the national, sub-regional and international levels. It also aims to bring together agri-food professionals, processors and buyers on the same market, to allow them to share experiences, sell and form business partnerships. To do this, FIBO intends to rent out three hundred stands to exhibitors in the agri-food value chain. It is also a question of mobilizing more than one hundred thousand general public visitors from different backgrounds and registering the participation of at least fifteen countries in the UEMOA-ECOWAS zone and elsewhere, among others.

The flagship activities of the 9e FIBO edition

For FIBO 2023, it is from the outset an opening and closing ceremony. It will also be a question of exhibition and sale of agri-food products and related services. Festival-goers will also be able to attend workshops and training seminars. A competition will be organized to reward the best players in agri-food processing. There will also be an exhibition of processing technologies and research results; cultural events to highlight local artists; attractive games and leisure.

Main competitions at the 9e FIBO

At this 9e edition of the FIBO, we have the Prizes for production, processing, standardization, the Municipality of Bobo, the Hauts-Bassins Regional Council, Georges Ouattara’s resilience and Excellency Abbé André Ouattara.

Note that the entrance price to the site is 200 FCFA and that of the stands ranges from 60,000 FCFA to 375,000 FCFA. Subscriptions have already been open since August 14 and continue until October 15, 2023.

FIBO magazine

FIBO offers an opportunity for companies to advertise their activities in “FIBO MAGAZINE”, for more visibility. Integration rates range from 150,000 FCFA to 400,000 FCFA. It is also possible to support FIBO by sponsoring which gives the right to privileges and this according to the amount injected for this purpose, minimum, 1,000,000 FCFA.
