MEDAN, KOMPAS.TV – Bobby Nasution, the Mayor of Medan who is also the son-in-law of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), protested strongly to the Governor of North Sumatra (Sumut) Edy Rahmayadi.
The protest was conveyed because the North Sumatra Provincial Government did not coordinate regarding the use of several places in Medan City for the isolation of Covid-19 patients.
The places are five hotels and several offices belonging to the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) in Medan City.
These places will be used for isolation for Indonesian citizens (WNI) upon arrival from Kualanamu International Airport (KNIA).
“This is the quarantine in Medan. Indeed, foreign citizens (WNA) in Deli Serdang near the airport, for Medan there are several hotels and several official offices, we say it belongs to the province, not the city of Medan, because this is the province’s territory, “said Bobby on Wednesday (5/5/2021) quoted from Kompas.com.
“But we ask that the city of Medan be given more information.”
