Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution requested that the Governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra), Edy Rahmayadi pay the 2021 Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) debt to the Medan City Government on time.
“We asked to pay DBH according to the current month. This was asked by friends of the DPRD, why the PAD of Medan City was not appropriate, one of which was the late payment of DBH,” said Bobby Nasution, Wednesday (23/6).
Bobby confirmed that the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s debt originating from the tax DBH in 2020 of Rp433 billion had been paid. However, the debt was only repaid in May 2021. Previously, Bobby claimed that the debt had not been transferred at all.
“This figure is IDR 433 billion according to the findings of the BPK (financial audit body) because it should have been paid in 2020 in the current month. But (the 2020 debt) was paid in 2021, completed last May,” Bobby said.
He said the 2020 activities should have been used from the DBH source, but they were not carried out because the provincial government had not paid for it at that time.
Bobby also revealed that although the North Sumatra Provincial Government has paid off the 2020 DBH debt, currently the North Sumatra Provincial Government still has a tax DBH debt of IDR 407 billion for the January – May 2021 period.
“But the 2021 one has not been paid. The DBH should be paid in the current month, now it is June. For 2021, from January to May it has not been paid. In 2021 there is Rp. 407 billion in total. It has not been paid until May,” he said.
Bobby asked members of the North Sumatran DPRD for the Medan electoral district (dapil) to submit to the North Sumatran Governor Edy Rahmayadi to pay the DBH debt according to the current month.
“We are still communicating with the North Sumatra Provincial Government. We also ask the North Sumatran DPRD from the Medan Dapil, we ask that it be submitted to the North Sumatran Governor to be able to accelerate the DBH according to the current month so that the program runs,” he said.
According to the husband of Kahiyang Ayu, the sooner the debt is paid to the Medan City Government, the more activities that can be accommodated.
“The sooner the money comes to us, we can budget it. The money has been budgeted, this is a projection for 2021 of IDR 407 billion, this has already been budgeted.”posting for anything. If it is paid in 2022, don’t let it, it means that there are activities that we cannot accommodate,” he explained.
Bobby emphasized that the North Sumatra Provincial Government is obliged to pay the tax DBH debt in a timely manner according to the current month to the district/city. Because the budget must be used for activities in the region. Moreover, said Bobby, Governor Edy has agreed that the regional fiscal will greatly help the community’s economy.
