Bob Odenkirk: – Collapsed on the set

The American crime drama “Better Call Saul” is in the process of filming the sixth and final season in New Mexico. The series is originally a spin-off from another drama series, namely “Breaking Bad”.

The hit series, which has so far received 40 Primetime Emmy nominations, is expected to be back on screen in the first quarter of 2022. It is somewhat later than first thought, but the postponement is rooted in Covid-related delays.

On Tuesday, however, it became known that “Better Call Saul” star Robert “Bob” Odenkirk (58) had collapsed on the set during filming. It confirms Deadline Hollywood.

Odenkirk plays the lead role as Saul Goodman, a lawyer and former swindler, who becomes involved in the criminal world. He portrayed the role both in “Breaking Bad” and now in “Better Call Saul”.

Unknown condition

The 58-year-old is said to have fallen over on set and was transported to hospital in a hurry, where he is now still hospitalized. His actual condition is currently unknown. It is also not clear if he was conscious when he was carried away.

The recording of the series was finally underway, after the planned start in March. What the 58-year-old’s condition has to say for the show is still unclear. Sony Pictures Television, which produces the series, had no comment on Deadline Hollywood.
