The teaser of ‘Boat’, a pan-Indian film directed by Chimbu Devan starring Yogi Babu, Gauri Ji Kishan, Vijay, Sridevi and Kichcha Sudeep in the lead roles, has been released. Shot entirely in the ocean, the film is being produced by Prabha Premkumar under the banner of Mali and Manvi Movie Makers. The film will hit the theaters in February in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
In 1940, Japan bombed Chennai. 10 people traveling in the boat jump into the sea fearing for their lives. Water enters through the hole in the boat and slowly sinks. A large shark surrounds the boat. The theme of the film is how the people in the boat escape.
Director Chimpu Devan made his debut in Tamil with the blockbuster ‘Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikeshi’ starring Vadivelu. ‘Puli’ starring Vijay, Sridevi and Kichcha Sudheep, Prakash Raj, Santhanam and Ganja Karup in lead roles, ‘Arai Enna 305 ll Kadavul’ and ‘Irumbukottai Murattu Singham’ featuring Raghava Lawrence in a new dimension are films released under the direction of Chimpu Devanta. Chimpu Devan, who has made successful films in genres like historical and fantasy, is coming this time as a pan-Indian film.
