Police received multiple reports of ships in trouble during the Trump parade on Lake Travis, northwest of the Texas capital Austin. “Several boats have sunk,” police said. According to a police spokeswoman, there would be no malicious intent. Nobody was hurt.
“Some made water, some got stuck, some capsized, it was all different things,” said the spokeswoman. “There were an exceptionally large number of boats on the lake today.” She added that authorities were still collecting data on how many boats have sunk and how many people have been rescued.

According to the event’s Facebook page, four paratroopers were said to jump out of a helicopter with smoke and flags during the parade, which took place over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Boats were asked to travel at 10 miles per hour.
