“The modus operandi of the perpetrator was that this female student was invited to the canteen and other crime scenes in the morning to have sex with the promise of karomah from the kiai. Then she, the process was like consent granted, legal as husband and wife, then had intercourse ,” said the Central Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi during a press conference at the Batang Police, Tuesday (11/4).

For his actions the suspect was charged with Law Number 23 concerning Child Protection with a penalty of 15 years in prison.

“However, because the suspect’s actions were repeated, the penalty could be 15 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison,” said Lutfhi.
