Her three-year term as an alternate member begins on January 1, 2022. Christina Bannier is the first woman to be appointed as a deputy member of the Board of Trustees since it was founded in 2002.
The seven members of the Board of Trustees and their deputies are personalities from science, ministries and banks. Her tasks include, in particular, decisions on the foundation’s funding and investment policy.
The Money and Currency Foundation supports economic and legal research in the field of money and currency. These include doctoral scholarships, the establishment of the “Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability” competence center at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, summer schools, conferences and support for publications.
