The Hague party aligns itself with the recently suspended Quinsy Gario, formerly number two on the party’s national electoral list. That writes the Hague party in a statement.
The national party has recently been in the news after Gario was expelled from the party last Monday. According to BIJ1, Gario displayed ‘manipulative and toxic behaviour’ within the party.

The Hague party members are now breaking with the national branch. BIJ1 The Hague says it does not feel supported and speaks of ‘active opposition, distrust, a lack of communication and transparency’.
‘Autonomy not appreciated’
“In addition, the autonomy of the local branch in The Hague was not appreciated or respected at all. In a short time a pattern has become visible in which it has been made impossible for a BIJ1 department to exist in our own city”, can be read in the statement.

Why the Hague branch would be opposed would be unclear, writes BIJ1 The Hague. “We will continue to build our overlapping community and activist work in our city outside BIJ1 as individuals,” conclude the Hague party members.
