There have been rumors about her future at Audi from time to time – since Friday afternoon it is official: Sales and Marketing Director Hildegard Wortmann is leaving the Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer Audi. A successor has already been chosen.
Audi has appointed the former Porsche Europe boss Marco Schubert as the new head of sales in Ingolstadt. Schubert will take over on Sunday from Hildegard Wortmann, who came to Audi from BMW in 2019 and is now leaving the Volkswagen Group.
Wortmann leaves at his own request
Audi announced that she was leaving at her own request and by mutual agreement. Supervisory Board Chairman Manfred Döss said that Wortmann had “significantly advanced sales in times of crisis. Marco Schubert brings the international experience that we need now.”
